The eVolo 09 Skyscraper Competition just announced three winners and 15 special mentions. For the 2009 edition, eVolo invited architects, engineers, and designers to explore new ideas and concepts for vertical density.
The competition called for innovative designs that take into consideration the historical and social context, the existing urban fabric, the human scale, and the environment.
The organizers received 416 projects from 64 different countries. The best 40 projects of the competition will be published in eVolo Magazine.
